A two-year-old reportedly died after choking on a raw groundnut seed in Tippur village on the outskirts of the city on Thursday. According to the police, the toddler was eating the nut when one of them got lodged in his throat. His father Shivaram, a daily-wage worker, rushed the boy to the hospital. Doctors informed the police that the boy died while they were trying to pull out the nut.
Doddabelamangala police have registered a case of unnatural death after taking statements from the parents.
