MUMBAI: With footfalls increasing at Masjid, Central Railway has decided to rebuild the CSMT-end foot over-bridge at the station to widen it. A CR spokesperson said, "The renovation is expected to be completed in record time. We will work at night as well. The FOB will be dismantled and a new one will be built at the same place. The booking office on the FOB will also remain closed during this period."

Two mega blocks of five hours each will be operated on December 2 and 16 for renovation work. After the renovation, the FOB landing will be wider-from 2.44m to 4.88m.

There are two other FOBs at Masjid station which commuters will have to take in the absence of this one. The spokesperson said, "We have made alternative arrangements so that commuters are not inconvenienced. The booking office at the Kalyan-end of the station will be working and additional windows will be operated." A team of officials will also be available to help commuters use mobile app to book tickets.
