Congress president Rahul Gandhi does not have basic understanding on Rafale issue. He is trying to mislead the nation by spreading information that is not true. Union defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman said this in her interaction with media on Friday.
Rahul Gandhi is comparing the rates of Rafale with the agreement done during his time. There is a difference between the conditions then and now. We have made the deal without paying any commission, she said. BJP and the government had been telling about the Rafale issue at all relevant platforms. “We have told everything about Rafale in the Parliament.
We have told everything about it again in the court,” said Sitharaman. She also expressed surprise over Rafale issue being raised in state assembly elections. Replying to a question, defence minister said that her party was proud of surgical strikes made by the armed forces. She said that she is not aware about how many strikes were made during UPA tenure but her government is proud to have taken such a decision.
Sitharaman had words of appreciation for Shivraj government as well. She said that development remained on priority in Shivraj rule and that is quite evident. Various sectors in the state have performed well because of Shivraj government’s good policies, she added.
