Fun, games and performances highlight Times Evening event
TNN | Updated: Nov 24, 2018, 11:46 ISTBHUBANESWAR: It was an evening of fun and games for residents of Vipul Gardens Apartment at the Times Evening programme organized by The Times of India in association with The Wisdom Tree Global School.
Women and children took part in large numbers in a series of events meant to be a people connect exercise.
“I enjoyed the Times Evening event a lot. My friends had come and together we participated in Times Tambola and musical chair. I also sang a Bollywood song. I feel so happy to have taken part in the programme,” said Gayatri Das, a resident of Vipul Gardens at Ghatikia, here.
Children aged between two and eight showcased their talent in a drawing competition organised on the occasion. The theme was nature and the drawings were beautiful. The children also captioned their work with taglines like save the environment, keep your surroundings clean and green, happy family, save water and so on. Arpita Mohanty, Sai Ansh and Aditi Sharma took home the first, second and third prizes, respectively.
“We participated in the programme and met beautiful people here. Our children took part in the competitions and showcased their talent,” said Suneeta Mohanty, headmistress of The Wisdom Tree Global School.
Women took part in musical chair event and danced to Hindi film songs. Ramesh Kumar Behera, a resident of Vipul Gardens, said such events are very important in bringing people together.
