The city police arrested two youths from Tirusulam on charges of snatching a gold chain weighing 4.5 sovereigns from a woman in Chitlapakkam.
The police said K. Lalitha, 48, was walking near her house on November 13 when M. Thomas and S. Manikandan, on a motorbike, snatched her chain and fled.
The police used CCTV footage to identify the duo. They were remanded in judicial custody on Friday.
