Now vehicles will be delivered only after RTO registration

Bhopal: In Madhya Pradesh the vehicle will no longer be delivered from the showroom without the registration number being allotted from transport department. Transport Commissioner has issued an order in this regard to all the districts including Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore. It is said that this order will be effective from next month.

Transport Commissioner Dr. Shailendra Srivastava said that in this regard, orders have been issued to all district RTOs and vehicle agencies. This decision has been taken due to non-registration of vehicles in the state timely and delays in revenue income from such vehicles to the department.

  • More than 30 thousand new vehicles are sold in the state monthly.
  • Amount of rupees 95 crore received as a revenue every month from registration fee.

Yes, we have issued orders

Complaint was received that the vehicles are being delivered from the showroom or agencies without the registration in many districts. In such a case, orders have been issued as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act that the delivery of the vehicle should be given only after the registration of the vehicle. For this, RTO of all the districts has been given a format, according to which they will provide the information.
