Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray demands date of Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray reached Ayodhya on November 24 and visited Lakshman Fort. He was given grand welcome by party workers. While addressing a gathering, Uddhav Thackeray demanded a fixed date from the government to initiate construction of Ram Temple at the disputed site. Thackeray also participated in an Aarti on the banks of the river Saryu and performed rituals. The Shiv Sena chief was accompanied by senior party leaders and family members in the temple town. On the other hand, the district administration has deployed heavy police personnel in the city.
