States should ban entry of central investigative agencies on ‘witch-hunt mode’: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that states should ban the entry of all central investigative agencies which are on ‘witch-hunt mode’.

Mr Kejriwal’s reaction comes after Income Tax department and Enforcement Directorate conducted raids on Friday and Saturday at the premises of former Union Minister and Telugu Desam Party Rajya Sabha MP YS Chowdary in Hyderabad, sources said.

Allegations of money laundering and financial irregularities have been levelled against Chowdary, the sources said. ‘Raids by Modi govt on TDP leaders are a clear signal that once you start opposing BJP, then all the hounds will be unleashed. As I suggested earlier, States should ban the entry of all central investigative agencies which are on witch-hunt mode,’ Mr Kejriwal tweeted.
