2019 Ford Focus Active Will Cost You At Least £21,900 In UK

Customers on the lookout for Ford’s new Focus Active will be able to order the car starting this January in the UK.

AutoExpress reports that pricing will commence at £21,900 ($28,110/€24,650) for the hatchback, powered by the 1.0-liter EcoBoost petrol engine, rated at 125 PS (123 hp / 92 kW). The Ford Focus Active X Estate will sit at the other end of the range, with an price tag of £29,250 ($37,544/€32,923), using the brand’s 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) 2.0-liter diesel engine for fire power.

Other units available are the 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) 1.5-liter petrol and 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW) 1.5-liter diesel.

Compared to the rest of the Focus family, the Active models have an enhanced exterior look, with crossover-like styling cues. Plastic cladding, different bumpers and grille, roof rails, skid plates, new alloy wheel choices and jacked-up suspension set them apart.

Inside, users will find Active scuff plates, high-bolstered seats with Active cloth trim and blue stitching, special floor mats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear selector, and other tweaks. Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system is present, with an 8-inch touchscreen display, voice control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The FordPass Connect 4G Wi-Fi hotspot will be available for a monthly fee.

Changes also go beyond the visual spectrum, as the 2019 Ford Focus Active gets a modified chassis and two additional driving modes. Joining Normal, Sport and Eco, they are called Slippery and Trail, and help improve the car’s traction on snow, ice, sand and mud.
