Two Queensland men charged over $1 million meat, pet food fraud
Two south-east Queensland men have been charged over a fraud scheme worth more than $1 million involving meat and pet food supply companies.
It will be alleged one of the men, who operated three companies, failed to deliver products, impersonated a company director to get finance and was involved in other dishonest dealings.
The 41-year-old Laidley man was charged with five counts of fraud, which were allegedly committed between May 2016 and September 2018.
He appeared in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday and was bailed to reappear on December 17.
Meanwhile, a 64-year-old Wakerley man was charged with one count of fraud for his alleged involvement in one of the offences.
