At least 25 people were killed and dozens injured when a powerful bomb blast ripped through a busy market outside a religious seminary in Pakistan's restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday.

The explosive was planted in the Friday Market (Juma Bazar) in Aurakzai tribal district's Kalaya area, local officials said.

Pakistan's Geo News reported quoting district administration that the blast took place outside the door of a religious seminary.

Earlier in the day, terrorists stormed Chinese Consulate in Karachi. Two security men and three suicide attackers were killed in the terror strike.

Four people were also injured in the attack, Dunya TV reported.

The gunmen, armed with automatic weapons, proceeded towards the gate of the consulate after killing the policemen.

However, the guards closed the gate and the Chinese officials were taken to a safe location.
