Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das Friday said the state government will celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev next year in a grand manner.
"A grand programme will be organized in Ranchi (to celebrate it). The message of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is still relevant. He gave a message to end distortions of society. The one who is in you is in me, is the fundamental element of his message," Das said, addressing a programme organized on the occasion of 549th 'Prakash Parv' of Guru Nanak here.
Das said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to make Kartarpur corridor from Gurdaspur. "This has been a demand from the Sikh community for years ...," an official release said quoting Das.
Praying for prosperity of the state on the occasion, Das said that he is associated with gurudwara from his Jamshedpur constituency.
"The education being served by the gurudwara is unparallelled. The Sikh community is known for its service. Guru Nanak Dev Ji started langar with message that we are all alike," Das said.
