Refinery production down by 1.02 per cent

New Delhi, November 22

The domestic crude oil production stood at 2.89 million tonne (mt) during October 2018, 5.03 per cent lower than crude oil production reported in October 2017. Refinery output during the month under consideration was 21.88 mt, 1.02 per cent lower when compared with October 2017. Natural gas production during October 2018 was reported at 2797.67 million standard cubic meters, marginally lower by 0.38 per cent when compared with last year.

Crude oil production by ONGC during October 2018 stood at 1.77 mt which is 6.56 per cent lower when compared with October 2017. Crude oil production by Oil India Limited (OIL) stood at 0.28 million tonne, 1.35 per cent lower when compared with October last year. Crude oil production by private and joint venture projects during October 2018 was 0.84 mt, 2.89 per cent lower than production during October 2017.

Natural gas production by ONGC during the month under consideration was 2110.39 MMSCM, 4.60 per cent higher when compared with last year. Total gas production was pulled down by OIL and production from private and joint venture projects during October 2018. OIL’s gas production stood at 235.48 MMSCM which is 3.19 per cent lower than October 2017. Natural gas production by private or joint venture projects was 451.79 MMSCM which is 17.50 per cent lower when compared with production during October 2017.
