India's largest construction equipment exhibition begins in Kathmandu

The largest infrastructure sector exhibition organised by the (CII) in kicked off Thursday, showcasing the equipment needed by the construction industry.

The exhibition organised by in collaboration with the has opened up vast opportunities to Nepalese construction entrepreneurs at a time when is engaged in rebuilding the country damaged by the massive earthquake three years ago, for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth, the chief guest at the inauguration event, said.

The government has prioritised railway, road transport and waterway connectivity and "we are hopeful of receiving necessary support and assistance from both the neighbours, and China", Mahaseth said.

Indian said the exhibition will help in propelling Nepal's growth at a time the country's construction sector is witnessing an 11-per cent growth rate.
