Japanese car giant
Nissan stressed Thursday that its alliance with French sister company
Renault "remained unchanged" after its board voted unanimously to remove
Carlos Ghosn as its chairman.
Nissan said its "long-standing...
partnership with Renault remains unchanged" and that "the mission is to minimise the potential impact and confusion on the day-to-day cooperation" between the
firms.
Ghosn created the tie-up between the Japanese and French manufacturers and was widely seen as the glue holding together the fractious alliance.
