The Police Didi campaign which is organised by the Mumbai police at schools of different areas to inform the school students how to differentiate between good touch and bad touch proved to be an efficient platform for a 13-year-old girl to confide with the police officials on Tuesday about how she was molested by a rickshaw driver. Post the campaign, the Versova police registered a case of molestation and have arrested a 33-year-old man for allegedly molesting the minor.

According to the police, the campaign was organised by the police team at a D.N Nagar based school where the victim after getting to know about how one is physically touched in an inappropriate manner later approached a woman police officer and revealed the details of the incident which she had to undergo. “As per the complaint received, the incident was reported on November 15 where the accused who is a rickshaw driver by profession and also the victims neighbour had reportedly molested the girl and had touched her private parts.” said a police officer. After the victim opened up about her unpleasant experience, the police began looking for him.
