A 10-year-old boy had to be taken to hospital over the weekend after he was savagely attacked by a dog.
Oliver Williams, from Rhymney in south Wales, had been playing rugby with his six-year-old brother when the incident occurred on Sunday afternoon.
The boys had been on a field near their grandfather's house, who was also present when the attack took place.
According to the victims dad, it appeared to be of a pit bull breed of dog.
Oliver's father Nathan Williams explained to WalesOnline: "He was playing rugby when all of a sudden a dog attacked him and wouldn't let go.

"Their grandfather tried to intervene and started punching the dog. His dog jumped in and started distracting it."
After punching the dog in an attempt to get it off his grandson, 59-year-old Philip Oakley was left with fractured wrists.

Oliver managed to escape with his little brother, but as the pair ran towards their house, the dog chased after them.
"They ran through the door screaming," said Nathan.
"My wife ran outside and tried to push it and was screaming."
Nathan's wife used a bin as a shield against the dog, and it soon became distracted by someone else.
"The dog then saw a man across the road with his dog and it went to attack it but he threw his dog over the wall," explained Nathan.

As a result of the incident, Oliver spent two days in a Merthyr Tydfil hospital after needing treatment for cuts he received on his buttocks and arms - as well as being bitten on his shoulder by the dog.
"He didn't want to come home from hospital," Nathan added.
"He heard they still haven't caught the dog. His six-year-old brother is very shaken up."
A spokesman for Gwent Police said they were aware of the incident which took place at approximately 3.25pm on Sunday.
Officers have spoken with the dog's owner and investigations remain ongoing, the spokesman added.
