A toned-down CM puts fear of Naidu, Cong. control in voters

Bills passed by the Telangana government for increasing reservations for Muslims and Scheduled Tribes to 12% and 10% respectively, were stuck with the Centre as it is biased against certain sections, caretaker Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said here on Wednesday.

“ I personally requested him (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) at least 20 or 30 times and written some 50 letters. But he has this disease of Hindu-Muslim,” he said.

Speaking to a large gathering at the Praja Aashirwada Sabha (People’s blessing meet) in the arid and ST-dominated Devarakonda constituency in the district, Mr. Rao said his government served all sections fairly, but it was the Centre that kept stonewalling the rights of the State. A Federal Front “ without BJP and the Congress – identical brothers with different flags is after the elections,” he quipped.

However, the December 7 polls “ are a do or die situation for Telangana.”

Andhra-Cong.conspiracy

“The Srisailam Left Bank Canal, with the world’s longest tunnel of 43.9 km, proposed as part of the 1969 agreement, and later initiated by N.T. Rama Rao, an Andhra CM, was a conspiracy. It was also agreed by the then State Congress leadership that hails from Nalgonda,” he said, adding that people’s voting choice now should be based on this example, a still incomplete project.

Mr. Rao who was in Devarakonda, Nakrekal and Bhongir, in his three-stop tour, repeated the question everywhere: “Do we need Chandrababu Naidu in Telangana?”

In a much toned-down language than in his October meeting here, KCR urged people to think and hit the TRS-opposing forces strongly. KCR said the TRS once back in power, would launch a health-profile exercise for all the 3.9 crore population.

TRS Secretary General K. Keshava Rao, caretaker Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy, Members of Parliament Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, B. Narasaiah Goud, Gutha Sukender Reddy were present.
