Revelers bundle up for Thanksgiving Day parade

Crowds swarmed New York City streets for the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade despite bitterly cold temperatures on November 22 (Thursday).

A city advisory had warned revelers to dress for the cold to avoid frostbite.

The temperature slipped to 19 degrees in the morning.

And despite worries of high winds, the parade still showcased its famous giant balloons.
