LUCKNOW: It is 'paurush' (masculinity) of Ram bhakts that the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has called upon for the upcoming 'Dharam Sabha' in Ayodhya, where the organisation is expecting to raise a crowd of more than 1 lakh karsevaks for the first time since December 6, 1992.

Distributing pamphlets with such text in and around Ayodhya, the VHP has also condemned the Supreme Court and constitutional organisations for ignoring the sentiments of crores of Hindus and sacrifice of lakhs of people towards making a grand Ram temple.

The pamphlets, in the name of VHP's unit in Ayodhya's Karsevakpuram, claim that Ram Lalla has been waiting under tarpaulin for the past 26 years for the 'paurush' (masculinity) of his devotees to be reignited.

The handout also says that it is ironic that sentiments of crores of Hindus are being ignored by the SC, and that the 'biggest public movement'-the 'janmabhoomi movement'-is not dependent on anyone's benevolence. All it requires is the devotion of Hindus towards the cause, it adds.

Enticing devotees to make the 'Dharam Sabha' a grand success, the pamphlet claims that it is the demand of all saints and Hindus that the central government bring about a law for the construction of Ram temple.

‘No mosque around temple ‘seema’’

It also marks three bullet points as the premise of the event in Ayodhya. These are: that Ram temple be made where Ram Lalla is currently, there should be no mosque in the “sanskritik seema” of Ayodhya, and that there should be no mosque in Babar’s name anywhere in the country. When asked what Ayodhya’s ‘sanskritik seema’ meant, VHP Awadh prant chief Sharad Sharma said, “It means that the 64 kosi yatra area around Ramjanmabhoomi in Ayodhya should have no mosque.”

The handout not just asks people to be part of the November 25 programme in Ayodhya to receive ‘punya’ (reward) but also to take an oath to get the Ram temple constructed at the disputed site.
