Air Chief Marshal B S Dhanoa on Thursday urged the station commanders of Indian Air Force under the Eastern Air Command to upgrade the operational capability of the eastern zone, a Defence statement said.
He stressed on leadership, team building and discipline for achieving the operational goals, it said.
Inaugurating the two-day conference of the commanders of all air force stations here, Dhanoa exhorted them for a determined contribution towards the endeavour of the organisation to upgrade the operational capability of eastern zone.
Dhanoa also awarded trophies to the commanders for achieving excellence in the fields of operations, maintenance and administration.
The Guwahati-based Air Force Station was awarded the 'Pride of EAC' Trophy for overall performance, while the Air Force Station at Salua was awarded the 'Best Non-Flying Station', it added.
