The census of captive elephants in the State, which was proposed to have been conducted by the Forest Department on November 22 has been postponed to November 29, the Chief Wildlife Warden has informed. The owners of captive elephants had earlier appealed that the census be postponed as most of the elephants were on duty in temples.
