BMW i8 Gets Dolled Up In The Liberty Walk Spirit

Your typical Liberty Walk upgrades work on some rides, but not so much on others. Where do you think that this tuned BMW i8 fits in?

While we let you think about it for a moment, we’ll walk you through some of the aftermarket parts fitted on the hybrid sports car, and which focus solely the exterior.

There are two widebody available kits from Liberty Walk, starting with the Version 1 that adds new fender flares, a front splitter, rear diffuser, new side skirts and rear wing. The parts are available in FRP or CFRP, with pricing to be announced in the near future.

As for the Version 2, it adds similar parts made from the same materials, but in a different design. For the FRP-made body kit, the Japanese tuner will charge you $13,190 (€11,553) for markets outside the Land of the Rising Sun, while the CFRP-made one costs $16,970 (€14,864).

Two other complete body kit variants are offered from Liberty Walk, but these drop the widened wheel arches from the package. Pricing for the first version has yet to be announced, but the second one is available for $8,540 (€7,480) and $12,320 (€10,791) in FRP and CFRP, respectively.

Liberty Walk has no performance upgrades in store for the BMW i8. What can be fitted to the German model, however, is an air suspension that comes at $7,900 (€6,920), along with a selection of wheels.
