She's settled into her new public role in the royal family with incredible ease, and now insiders have revealed how Meghan has gone above and beyond in her work behind the scenes.
In an ABC News special Meghan’s New Life: The Real Princess Diaries, which airs Thursday royal experts reveal how the Duchess took the unusual step of preparing her own speeches during the recent royal tour.
Royal editor Omid Scobie, who was following the couple, noticed that ahead of a speech she gave in Fiji, Meghan was carrying notes with 'handwritten scribbles' all over them.
'I asked a palace aide, "has she written this herself?", as that's quite unusual for the royals, there's usually other people,' he recalled. 'This was all her, she's been up for days working on this speech.'
And it's not just the preparation that's unusual, but also the subject matter Meghan chose to tackle in Fiji and later in an another speech in Wellington where she spoke about women's empowerment.

'And for women and girls in developing countries, this is vital. Providing them with access to education is the key to economic and social development.
