Newly released investigative video shows the police response to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, breaking down events second by second.
The video, which depicts the first 14 minutes after gunman Nikolas Cruz stormed the campus of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, was released by state investigators.
The findings of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission, an independent state probe, led to the resignation on Monday of Broward Sheriff’s Captain Jan Jordan.
The video shows Cruz enter a building on the school grounds and take a rifle out, warning another student to get out seconds before he begins firing.

Six minutes after the first shot, Cruz (inset) is seen fleeing on foot, jogging south from the campus as police staged to the north
As Cruz moves through the building, Deputy Scot Peterson, the school resource officer, remains outside.
Members of the commission said last week that Peterson was "not a real cop," ''lacked intestinal fortitude" and was "a coward" as they reviewed video and photos of his actions.
Peterson failed to show up at a hearing when called to testify before the commission.

Captain Jordan took control of the police response at the scene about seven minutes after the first shots were fires, but did not urge deputies to enter the building.

At 11 minutes after the first shot, Coral Springs police officers (inset) form an entry team and storm building 12 searching for the shooter.

Fourteen minutes after the first shot, another group of officers assembled and entered the building from the opposite side
Instead, Jordan initially focused on establishing a perimeter, contrary to department training, the commission found.
Jordan also appeared to be struggling with radio difficulties that made it difficult to communicate.
Meanwhile, victims were bleeding out inside the building, including Douglas Athletic Director Chris Hixon.

Broward Sheriff’s Captain Jan Jordan resigned on Monday over the report
Hixon, unarmed, had rushed into the building to help students just a minute after the first shots were fired. He was still alive when police finally entered the building, but died on the way to the hospital.
'Do we have a perimeter set up right now and everyone cleared out of the school,' Jordan is heard asking dispatch three minutes after arriving in the school's main office.
At the same time, on the north side of the campus, Coral Springs police officers had arrived and saw sheriff's deputies holding position behind their police cars.
At 11 minutes after the first shot, the city officers formed an entry team and stormed the building searching for the shooter.
Three minutes later, another group assembled and entered the building from the opposite side.
All the while, Captain Jordan remained near the main office, seemingly cut off from the radio traffic and repeatedly asking about a perimeter.

Cruz was arrested later in the day and remains in custody, facing the death penalty
She finally moves to the north side of the campus, where most of the officers are staging, to coordinate with them there.
Cruz was arrested later in the day and remains in custody, facing the death penalty if convicted.
Another video previously released in April showed Cruz's movements inside the building where he killed 17.
