'He is a hard-working boy': Dad's online job plea for son with Asperger's and the response that will make your heart melt
- A father fed up with his son being rejected, took to social media to find him a job
- The note, which was posted to Facebook, received hundreds of replies in hours
- His son, who suffers from Asperger's, was then offered a job at a restaurant
A father took to the internet in a desperate bid to find his son a job and was flooded with heartwarming responses.
Joshua Eager, 20, suffers from Asperger's and was struggling to land a job and despite desperately wanting to work for a living.
His kindhearted dad Scott took to Facebook to plea with businesses in Sydney's Sutherland Shire to give him a job.
'It had been a real struggle, he'd been rejected from heaps of jobs for no reason. I just had to think outside the box,' Mr Eagar told Yahoo News.

Scott Eagar (pictured right) was fed up his son Josh, 20, (pictured left) getting rejected from interviews, so he took to social media to find his son a job

Mr Eagar reached out to his local community Facebook page and asked if anyone would be willing to give his son a chance
After setting up the post to read like an ad, including his son's photo, and a list of his interests, Mr Eagar hoped it made prospective employers see his son as a human being.
He describes Joshua as a 'reliant', 'loving' and 'honest' boy who loves to cook and 'just really wants to work.'
The response was immediate and overwhelming for Mr Eagar with hundreds of people getting in touch and tagging potential business owners within hours.
Soon after the post went live, Joshua was offered a trial at Caruso's Italian Restaurant in Gymea to work in their front of house.

Scott Eagar (pictured left) and his son Josh (pictured right) are ecstatic since he landed a new job after the post received hundreds of replies within hours
After a nervous start, Joshua's trial shift at the restaurant was a resounding success with him calling his father three times on the way home to tell him how well it went.
'It was about pride for him, not about the money. He's got a job and everyone treats him as an equal.' Mr Eagar said.
Joshua relayed this sentiment as he praised his boss and the staff for making him feel comfortable and at-ease.
'From the get-go, from the trial, there wasn't any confusion, I've never felt happier in a job,' he said.
Mr Eagar hopes that the post and the success of Josh's new role will ignite a new discussion around disabled people getting work.
Mr Pitarelli also agreed, saying other business owners should give people suffering from Asperger's or autism a chance as they often surprise.
Joshua plans to work his way up to full-time hours at the restaurant as he plans to save up for a house and move to the countryside in two to three years.

After Mr Eagar's post, Caruso's Italian Restaurant in Gymea (pictured left) responded, offering Josh a trial shift for their front of house - they have since taken to Facebook to thank everyone for the amazing response Josh has been given in their restaurant
