Ujjain: Collector Manish Singh, in a recent directive, banned the use firecrackers under section 144 of Indian Penal Code 1973 during Harihar Milan programme scheduled to be held in midnight of Wednesday and Thursday. On Baikunth chaturdashi lord Mahakaleshwar’s procession moved to Gopal Mandir to meet lord Krishna every year. Under the released directives firecrackers can only be used for a period of 2 hours from 11 pm on Wednesday to 1 am on Thursday.
Singh directed the officers that the orders should be strictly complied with. Visual documentation banned in Mahakal’s grabhgrah: Collector and Mahakaleshwar temple management committee president Manish Singh directed the temple administrator to ban photography and video-graphy in garbgrah of temple. Contrary to that he did not changed media coverage under previously prescribed rules. He further asked garbgrah in-charge to put a strict ban on photography and videography inside garbgrah.
FIR registered in Devotee-guard fight case
Few days ago a fight incident took place in Mahakal temple premises in which Tanu Dixit resident of Indore manhandled security guard over issue of entering in temple premises. Security guard Mulchand son of Harisingh Mori filed case in Mahakal police station against Tanu Dixit and Tejan Dixit of manhandling and ill-treatment. Mulchand held that both accused were not holding passes required for entrance from main gate and when he denied them entrance they started beating him and also abused him. Mahakal police filed case under section 323, 294, 506 and 34 of Indian penal Code.
