FALL RIVER — A dedication of the nature trail around Cook Pond in the South End of the city was held on Oct. 25.

There was a large gathering of community supporters, including state Sen. Michael Rodrigues, state Rep. Alan Silvia and Mayor Jasiel Correia II.

Annemarie Holly, program director at Greater Fall River Re-Creation, served as master of ceremonies for the program.

After brief presentations, Rodrigues and Silvia unveiled the sign officially designating the trail as the Dr. David S. Weed Nature Trail.
