Former Neighbours star, Madeleine West, 38, and celebrity chef, Shannon Bennett, 42, have sold their Lorne mansion near Victoria's Great Ocean Road following their recent split.

The Big Hill coastal retreat, which was architecturally designed to look like outlaw Ned Kelly's helmet, was snapped up in 'late October for an undisclosed amount,' according to realestate.com.au

The former flames listed the multi-million dollar Tesla-powered home in November last year for $4.65 million to $5.1 million, but reportedly lowered the sale price to $4.2 million in September this year, according to the publication.

Realestate.com.au reported both Madeline and Shannon were renting out the mansion before the sale, for a staggering $5,000 per night.

Earlier this year, Madeleine announced her separation from her partner of 13 years, Shannon in September.

The Playing For Keeps star broke the news to Stellar, revealing that she and Shannon are 'striving to reconnect as friends and parents'.

Explaining the separation, she said: 'Having a public profile, having two high-pressure careers, having a multitude of children – and I will say they are a lot harder to train than dragons – it puts exponential pressures on a relationship, and cracks can form, and things that we don't necessarily plan in the beginning can happen'.

Madeleine and Shannon began dating in 2005, and are parents to Phoenix, 12, Hendrix, 10, Xascha, 8, Xanthe, 6, and twins Xalia and Margaux, 4.
