Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a speeding car loses control on a suburban street before sliding across the lanes.
The footage was shared by 9 News and shows the car on a quiet Banksia Street, 12km south of Sydney, just before midnight on Tuesday before it loses control.
A New South Wales police spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the Kia Rio was travelling southbound in Banksia just before midnight.

The car collided with a traffic pole with force before spinning out of control and slamming into a parked 4WD.
Footage shows debris being torn from the car and propelled across the road as sparks start to fly.
The car then slides onto its side and out of view of the camera.
The spokeswoman said the 31-year-old male driver was pulled from the vehicle by witnesses and was taken to the nearby St George Hospital for precautionary tests.
No one was seriously injured in the crash and police are still investigating.
