PANCHKULA: Police on Tuesday arrested Lovely Rajput (44), the elder daughter of victim Rajbala (68) in the Khatauli murder case.
Chandimandir police station house officer inspector Naveen Kumar said Lovely told them that she hired two contract killers to execute the killings during interrogation.
Inspector Naveen said, "The identity and details of the killers cannot be shared at present. Lovely has been booked under the charges of criminal conspiracy of the IPC. She will be produced before the district court on Wednesday to seek her police remand to find out more details in the case."
Police said Lovely told them that she wanted to take over the property of her brother, Upender Rajput, who had allegedly committed suicide four years back. The property was in the name her mother and Upender's children, police said. Rajbala, her three grandchildren Ayush Rajput, 12, Aishwarya Rajput, 18, and Divyanshu Rajput, 16, were found dead at their house at Khatauli village on November 17 at 9am.
