Half of Jobs at Amazon’s Two New Headquarters Won’t Be Tech Positions
Many will be administrative, custodial and other staffers
New York and Arlington, Va., traded billions of dollars in incentives for a shiny new Amazon HQ2. But the arrival of the new corporate headquarters could mean some serious challenges for the two cities.
Only half of the positions that Amazon.com Inc. has promised to bring to its two new headquarters in New York and Virginia will be tech jobs, government officials in both states say.
