The Ozford Institute of Higher Education in Australia is willing to offer English language programmes, which has been designed to improve proficiency and interactive learning experiences, at schools in the State, its vice-president and the member of governing and academic board, Rong Liu has said.
Speaking at a workshop organised for school principals by AP Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (APCCIF), in association with Australian Trade and Investment Commission on Monday, she said Ozford Institute of Higher Education would to collaborate with India to benefit the schools, in line with the strategic direction and impetus to build collaboration on education related issues between both the countries.
Face-to-face interaction
“We will provide an opportunity to the schools to engage with an Australian institute face-to-face, learn about Australian education, programmes and explore the possible areas of collaboration,” she said.
Welcoming the participants, APCCIF Zonal Chairman Pydah Krishna Prasad said the business chamber was working closely with Australian High Commission for adapting changes in the education system to enable Indian students to be on par with their counterparts in other countries.
“The workshop was designed to introduce school principals to Australian education system and to identify the new areas to build up skills,” Mr. Krishna Prasad said. Chambers vice-chairman M. Sudhir said entrepreneurs should come from good schools with quality education to benefit the society at large. School principals and and representatives from 30 schools from Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Kakinada attended the workshop.
