Woman, grandmom found hanging
Nov 21, 2018, 00:05 ISTTirupur: A 24-year-old woman and her 65-year-old grandmother were found hanging in the latter’s house at Vellakoil on Monday.
Police identified them as Sathya of Karugalpalayam in Erode and her grandmother Thangammal. “Sathya was married to N Boopathy of Kacherivalasu. They have a five-month-old boy. As Boopathy failed to attend work regularly, the couple often quarrelled. Recently, Sathya had asked him to pledge a jewellery for Rs 40,000. But Boopathy pledged it for Rs 55,000. When she came to know about it, she quarrelled with him and went to grandparents’ house in Karungalpalayam along with her son. Last Sunday, Sathya and her grandmother Thangammal visited her house at M Palanisamy Nagar. Sathya and Boopathy had a quarrel at the house and he left for his parents’ house along with the baby. He retuned to the place on Tuesday to find Sathya and her grandmother hanging from the ceiling,” an officer said.TNN
