The parents of a little boy whose class photos - featuring his not so thrilled face - have gone viral, are now blasting those sharing the images along with links to crowdfunding sites.
Tantarnea and Michael Arnold took to social media to voice their discontent with how random people are using photos of their son - Makari - and claiming that he is their child.
One post in particular, made by a man by the name of Bill Muhammad who goes by EL Prive on Facebook, claims that the little boy vowed now to smile after his 'father' ate his treat.

The original post - that has since been edited - included hashtags #poptartforeverfund #cashup $bandobill. The viral post was shared more than 156K times and had well over 40K comments in just two days
'Y'all pray for my son,' he said in the November 17 post. 'Nothing wrong with him but I ate his pop tart before his class pictures and he said he never smiling again.'

But on Monday, Tantarnea asserted that the photos were actually taken last year while at the boy's daycare center. She added that a cousin posted the photos, at the time, and they have been going viral ever since.

The mother - who goes by La Shunta on Facebook - acknowledged that there was little she could do to stop the photos from going viral and added that some of the memes about her son were 'hilarious.'
'But it still doesn't sit well with me that he's being posted world wide, the mother-of-two added. 'If you happen to see a post where someone is claiming him as there child, that is not funny...I don't care if it is just a joke. Don't be out here trying to use our son for likes or money. That's lame and so disrespectful.
'Please, if yall continue to see people claiming him, claiming the pic as there's, creating GoFundMe accounts and making money from my baby pics, please report it and let us know. Thanks!'

Tantarnea also tagged Michael in the post and he added his own message for Muhammad and any others hoping to get a few likes for a funny meme.

Muhammad claimed that only $23.52 was raised and will go to a Kentucky homeless shelter
Muhammad responded to the influx of negative comments and feedback he was blasted with, removing the hashtags implying he was seeking money.
He also posted a follow up status, claiming that only $23.52 was raised and will go to a Kentucky homeless shelter.
'Look y’all broke a***s ain’t even give that baby 100$ all 23.52 will go to Louisville home of the innocence as well as 200 more from my pocket,' he stated.
The man also clarified that he didn't mean any malicious intent towards the boy's family.
He added: 'No offense to the babies family either. That’s my SON -5$ I sent the mama.'

The Georgia native also claimed not to have acted maliciously towards the family
