Indore: Kailash Vijayvargiya pumping money to draw voters for son
Kailash Vijayvargiya

Congress candidate from Indore-3 Ashwin Joshi alleged that BJP’s national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya is spending huge amount s of money to turn voters in his son’s favour. “Kailash Vijayvargiya used money and muscle power to win last assembly elections in Mhow and he is doing the same in Indore assembly constituency -3. This time, it is a prestige issue for Kailash Vijayvargiya and he will spend more money and exert more muscle power,” Joshi said while addressing Face To Face programme organised by Indore Press Club on Monday.

His BJP opponent Akash Vijayvargiya was expected to face Joshi but he didn’t show up. “I am contesting election against Kailash Vijayvargiya and not against Akash as he (Akash) is working on the ground created by his father. Vijayvargiya’s family wants to make Indore-3 like Indore-2, which is full of goons who pressurise businessmen to shell out money. But we will not let them succeed,” Joshi said.

He alleged that businessmen are afraid of Vijayvargiya and his goons due to which they are not speaking against them but will reply through voting. “BJP leaders of Indore-2 run extortion rackets and now they are targeting people of Indore-3. Kailash Vijayvargiya is expert in taking U-turns. He had said that he will not work in Indore-3 but is moving in the area to garner support for his son,” Joshi alleged.

Corrupt officials’ houses should be razed
Replying to a query, Joshi said, “Government should demolish the houses of corrupt officials who had given permission for illegal construction before razing people’s houses.” He said he will not let any house to get demolished. Joshi said he is assured of his win and people will choose him for his works he had done in 15-year tenure as MLA.
