It wasn’t too long ago when we learned about a third, cheaper variant of the Pixel 3 with a headphone jack and the Snapdragon 670 processor. Today, the camera samples of the Pixel 3 Lite have been leaked, thanks to a Russian tech blog called Rozetked. These images have been shared by the same Russian blog that posted a slew of hands-on images of the Pixel 3 Lite last week. Rozetked claims the Pixel 3 Lite will offer a premium camera experience, similar to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Even though it’s hard to judge the quality of camera samples without comparing them with the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL, the photos appear to be of a high-quality. Rozetked notes that some camera samples may have been disabled, as they were in the Pixel 3 XL prototype. A lot of details are missing, but we do know that the Pixel 3 Lite’s camera will support the same 12.2MP single shooter as the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. So expect the Pixel 3 Lite’s camera to support the Portrait mode, Night Sight, and Super Res Zoom.
Speculation is rife that the Pixel 3 Lite will sport a 5.56-inch FHD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, 32GB of internal memory, 4GB RAM, 2915mAh battery, and Android 9.0 Pie. The phone appears to look exactly the same as the Pixel 3, barring a few changes. For instance, the Pixel 3 Lite doesn’t seem to have two selfies cameras in the front, unlike the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. Interestingly, the so-called budget version will also feature a headphone jack.
Rozetked claims Google will launch the Pixel 3 Lite sometime in the first half of next year. Hopefully, we will learn more about the Pixel 3 Lite in the coming months.
