NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the green with the S&P BSE Oil & Gas index trading 0.75 per cent up at 13,702.88 around 12:44 pm on Tuesday.

Shares of GAIL (India) (up 2.34 per cent), Oil India (up 1.52 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 1.25 per cent) and Castrol India (up 1.24 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.08 per cent), Petronet LNG (up 0.91 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.45 per cent) too were trading in the green.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 48.65 points at 10,714.75 while BSE Sensex was down 113.07 points at 35,661.81 around 12:44 pm.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Kwality, JP Associates, Reliance Communications, Infibeam Avenues, Suzlon Energy, PC Jeweller, Adani Power, Hindustan Construction and Bank of Baroda were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
