A review meeting on construction works at tourism centres in Wayanad , chaired by District Collector A.R. Ajayakumar, decided to adopt measures to complete construction works at various tourism destinations in the district in a time-bound manner.

It decided to complete the second phase construction works of the Sulthan Bathery town square by the end of December .
The meet decided to complete the tourism development works at Pazhassi park at Mananthavadi by the end of November, and infrastructure development works at Kuruva island by middle of December.
The works progressing under the Green Carpet project at Kanthanpara waterfalls would be completed on November 30 and construction works for setting up a children’s park on the premises of the Karalad lake on December 15.
Repair works of roads to Kanthanpara and Chembra peak destinations would be completed by December end.
Third phase tourism development works at Karapuzha would be complete by the first week of February and second phase beautification works for the Pazhassi park would begin in December first week.
Cost of ₹2.09 cr
It also decided to launch renovation works at flood affected tourism destinations in the district at a cost of ₹2.09 crore soon.
