Xiaomi Mi A2 starts getting Android 9 Pie stable update in India: Report
Xiaomi Mi A2 is reportedly getting stable Android 9 Pie update in India. The latest Android update for the Mi A2 is said to be rolling out via OTA and as per reports it is released only for users in India. Some users have posted on the MIUI forum website which shows the details of the Android Pie update.
Recently an unofficial Android Pie bet download link for the Mi A2 was spotted online. As per the latest screenshot shared by GSMArena, the Android 9 Pie update for the Mi A2 brings new gesture navigation, adaptive battery and brightness, ‘simpler ways to navigate phone.’
The update is 1067.7MB in size. The latest update for the Mi A2 brings November Android security patch as well. Xiaomi Mi A2 users in India can check for the update by opening the phone’s Settings menu, open System updates and then tap on Check for system updates.

To recall, Xiaomi Mi A2 arrived in the Indian market in August this year. The smartphone is a part of Google’s Android One program and guarantees regular software updates for two years. The phone was launched with a stock version of Android Oreo OS onboard.
It features 5.99-inch full HD+ (2160×1080 pixel resolution) display. The Mi A2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which is paired with Adreno 512 GPU for graphics. The phone carries dual rear camera having a 12MP+20MP set up with f/1.75 aperture. It has a 20MP selfie camera that comes with LED flash support.
The phone has a battery backup of 3000mAh and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ support. Xiaomi Mi A2 is available for a price starting at Rs 15,999 for the 4G RAM and 64GB storage model. The 128GB storage model comes for a price of Rs 18,999.
