Minister for Transport D.C. Thammanna inspected the ongoing construction work of the government city bus stand at Shiribeedu and government inter-district bus stand at Bannanje here on Friday.
Speaking to presspersons after the inspection, Mr. Thammanna said the construction of the inter-district bus stand had been taken up at a cost of ₹ 31.34 crore. This bus stand would be two-storeyed building with a commercial complex. Provision has also been made for a multiplex in the building. He has directed the officers to see to it that the construction work is of a good standard, he said.
The construction of the city bus stand here had been taken up at a cost of ₹ 4 crore. Concreting work worth ₹1 crore would be taken up at the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation Depot here, he said.
Deepak Kumar, KSRTC Divisional Controller, Jaishanth, Divisional Traffic Controller, and others were present.
