The new Galaxy smartphone from Samsung was originally launched in Malaysia for a starting price of EUR 599 (around Rs 51,300). Reports suggest that Galaxy A9 (2018) could come for a price at around Rs 35,000 in India.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is the world’s first smartphone to feature four cameras at the back. The quad camera setup which are stacked vertically consists of a 24MP AF primary sensor with f/1.7, a 10MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and f/2.4, an 8MP sensor with an ultra-wide 120-degree lens, f/2.4 and a 5MP sensor for depth of field. The phone has a 24MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The phone encased in glass offers a compact body. The Galaxy A9 (2018) sports a 6.3-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor which is paired with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone ships with the in-house Experience 9.0 based Android Oreo. The Galaxy A9 (2018) was launched in two RAM variants- 6GB/8GB RAM which is paired with 128GB native storage.
