Real Kashmir will face its toughest test so far in top-flight when it locks horns with Mohun Bagan, a club with some pedigree, in a mid-table I-League football clash here on Tuesday.
Both teams have played three games so far.
Bagan is one of three unbeaten teams in the league and is lying fifth while Real Kashmir is seventh with four points.
It is the best time for Bagan to use its untested resources, given Real Kashmir has not looked like winning even at home yet.
Real Kashmir also has the opportunity to test its reserves. The likes of Nadong Bhutia, who scored a bunch of goals in its winning campaign in the second division last season, is yet to get a game and there is talent in midfield with Nagem Tamang, Surchandra Singh and Shahnawaz Bashir warming the benches so far.
Real Kashmir will be playing at home for a while now and it would be ideal to get as many players to get a taste of playing big teams before tougher away assignments.
