LUCKNOW: Just two days after Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University campus resonated with 'Chalo Ayodhya' and 'Mandir wahin banayenge' slogans, students took out a bike rally in support of Vishwa Hindu Parishad's 'Chalo Ayodhya' call on Sunday. The university administration has ordered a probe and decided to serve a show cause notice to students involved in the rally.
On Sunday afternoon, students dressed in saffron and holding saffron flags took out a bike rally.
"We began our rally from the temple of education to pay respect to Lord Rama and there is nothing wrong in it," said PhD scholar Abhishek Mishra.
Meanwhile, the dalit students objected to the rally and pinned the blame on administration.
"The rally was organised without any permission," said BBAU student Ajay Kumar
BBAU chief proctor Ram Chandra has ordered a probe. "An enquiry will be held against the security guards who didn't alert the proctor board and strict action would be taken. The students will be identified and show cause notice will be issued," he said.
