Prince Charles' wide-reaching interests in politics and global affairs is highlighted in a new photo showing the royal at work.
The image, taken to mark the prince's 70th birthday last week, captures Charles behind his desk at the Garden Room at Clarence House, the London residence he shares with the Duchess of Cornwall.
Piled high on the desk are at least eight different books, including titles by an Indian entrepreneur and a collection of essays on a Malaysian sultan.

And the curiosities don't stop there. Elsewhere in the frame a marble statue can be seen, as well as a 17th century tapestry that was gifted to Queen Victoria.
The Garden Room, created from two rooms which Princess Margaret lived in before her marriage, is one of five rooms in Clarence House used by the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall for royal engagements.
The photo shared this week was taken by Getty royal photographer Chris Jackson in June as part of a series commemorating Prince Charles' 70th birthday.
The heir to the throne is seen recording commentary for the 'Prince and Patron' Exhibition that was on display at Buckingham Palace.
Charles sits reading over a script at the ornate desk, which is covered in trinkets and silver stationery holders.

The book, published in 2015, includes contributions from 30 prominent leaders from a range of industries, who penned essays on the ruler to mark his enthronement as the 35th Sultan of Perak.
Just above it is a tome by late Indian entrepreneur JC Kapur called Our Future: Consumerism or Humanism.

This gilt wood sofa, dating back to the early 1800s, features a rectangular padded back, padded scrolled arms carved with large acanthus scrolls, scallop shells and rosettes and sprung and upholstered seats.
It was formerly situated in the Golden Drawing Room or Corinthian Room in Carlton House, London, which once served as the residence of the Prince Regent.

It was shown at the Great Exhibition in Paris 1851 and subsequently presented to Queen Victoria by the Emperor Napoleon III.
