How to find true love online: The three simple profile tweaks that will boost your dating success - and why women should wear sunglasses in photos
- In the world of online dating, the recipe for success often largely unknown
- It's now been revealed the subtle changes singletons can make to find love
- The tweaks come from research by eHarmony, and is based on the site's data
With more singles attempting to find love online than ever before, it's crucial that they get their profiles perfect in a bid to stand out from the masses.
And while the basics seem easy enough, there are simple tweaks people can make to ensure their profile is the best it can possibly be.
According to dating experts at eHarmony, the length of bio information plays an important role - and many singles fail to provide enough information about themselves.
In fact, according to the research, 47 per cent of men and 36 per cent of women describe themselves in just 25 words or less.

It's now been revealed by eHarmony the subtle changes singletons can make to their dating profiles in order to find love
This has been pinned as a 'missed opportunity' for people to showcase their best traits and catch the eye of a potential love match.
Singletons are also advised to be more forward with their initial approach to connecting with others in order to make a lasting impression.
By using simple openers such as a basic 'hey' or 'how are you' matches can be turned off due to how often they may receive messages of a similar sort.
In fact those who start interact with a brief or blunt opening message can lead to a 35 per cent drop in replies.
Similarly, while beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, a user's photos should be carefully selected to include 'which fashion choices do best and the best angles to take the photo from'.

Women wearing sunglasses in at least one of their photos often see a rise in interest; and men who express themselves romantically typically do well.
But the site's advice isn't the only way to improve the chances of finding love online, Millionaire Matchmaker, Louanne Ward previously told FEMAIL her tips for success.
According to Louanne, it's important to use every photo slot on your profile to maximise people's desire to click.
'Tinder was designed for people to make a visual based decision about who you want to swipe and connect with,' she said.
'So the more photos you use, the more likely you are to get results, irrespective of what it is you're looking for.'
In a similar vain she also discouraged the overuse of group photos as she says it's one of the most frustrating yet common habits of online daters.
'This makes it difficult to be identified,' Louanne said, 'this is just annoying and won't do you any favours.'
However, despite the smoke and mirrors which often litter dating sites honesty, according to Louanne, remains paramount.
'Don't use old photos and make sure your photos show both your face and body too,' she said.
'Allow people the freedom of choice to swipe the real you.'
