18-yr-old man found murdered, search on to arrest accused
tnn | Updated: Nov 19, 2018, 00:36 ISTCoimbatore: An 18-year-old youth was found murdered at Pappampatti Pirivu here on Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as A Ajaykumar of MGR Nagar at Pappampatti Pirivu. “He was working as an assistant in an engineering workshop and had left home at 10pm on Saturday. After visiting a bakery located near Pappampatti Four Road along with his friends, Ajaykumar and a friend had bought liquor from a Tasmac bar around 11pm. His body was found along the road near Pappampatti Mahakavi Nagar. Two deep injuries were found on the head,” a police officer said.
A sniffer dog was brought to the spot. Forensic experts inspected the crime scene. The body was later sent to the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital for postmortem.
Superintendent of police R Pandiarajan has formed three special teams to nab the murderers.
Ajaykumar is survived by father Anandakumar, mother Masilamani and three brothers.
Sulur police have registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code. tnn
