While for many people a battle with acne is debilitating, it's even harder when it's your job to be a model in front of the camera.
This is one of the reasons why Perth-based Georgia Gibbs has decided to shine a light on her acne, showing how people you see on Instagram can also struggle behind-the-scenes.
'You may have noticed I've been a little less active and you may have seen my Instagram story sharing my skin situation with you all... but I've been diagnosed with an auto immune disease that from the outside looks like a rash over my face but on the inside makes me feel pretty average,' Georgia posted on her Instagram page.

Taking to Instagram, the 24-year-old (pictured) showed her battle with acne, that has come about as a result of an auto immune disease

'You may have noticed I've been a little less active... but I've been diagnosed with an auto immune disease that from the outside looks like a rash over my face but on the inside makes me feel pretty average, Georgia said (pictured with her acne at a health retreat)
The 24-year-old said that since she shared her facial rash, she's been met with some criticism online, with people sending her messages saying: 'Ew, don't show us that again'.
But, because she wants to be 'real' with her followers, she wanted to show exactly what she looks like - and not let 'anxiety get the better of me'.
'Our bodies have a strange way of sometimes forcing us to stop, rethink and remind us how precious our health is,' Georgia said.
'Physically I exercise every day and I eat extremely well. But mentally, stress, anxiety and fatigue finally got the better of me...

Speaking about what caused the rash, the Sports Illustrated star said doctors attribute it to 'stress, an overload of western medicine, fatigue and a gut out of balance'.
'I'm not hiding it because this is your reminder to question what pills, chemicals and general s**t that band aid a problem instead of actually healing you, you are putting into your body! [sic].'
Georgia said that it has taken her a while to realise, but slowing down and ditching the gym for a 'workout for your mind' is key to looking and feeling good.
'Don't sweat the small stuff. Your body will thank you,' she said.
While antibiotics can help, she added, you need to take a more holistic approach if you want to clear up your complexion and your insides for good.

Previously, Georgia has shared her typical daily diet, which she fills with herbal teas, mango and plenty of vegetables.
For breakfast she'll happily whip up two eggs with half an avocado and a green smoothie, followed by a 'summer salad' for lunch.
'My favourite has spinach, strawberry, pomegranate seeds and walnuts,' Georgia said.
At dinner she usually gets her protein from a piece of salmon - because she's a pescatarian - and has grilled vegetables with pepitas mixed in for some healthy fats.
'But I have a big sweet tooth so I'll usually opt for a dark chocolate or mango (unless ice cream is around),' she said.
