For $79k, Would You Get This Rare Honda S2000 CR Or A 1995 Acura NSX?

If you had to choose between buying a used Honda S2000 CR or a used Acura NSX, which would you get?

It’s a tough decision and, at the time of writing, there’s both an S2000 CR and 1995 NSX for sale in California with very similar asking prices. Choosing between the two is like picking your favorite child or favorite pet.

Starting with the S2000 CR in question on eBay, it is a 2008 model with the ‘CR’ standing for ‘Club Racer’. The Japanese marque built just 59 examples with the optional air conditioning and radio delete package. Of those 59, just 21 are finished in Apex Blue Pearl like this one.

Sales of the car were restricted to the U.S. and compared to a standard S2000, the CR is roughly 100 lbs (45 kg) lighter and comes complete with stiffened springs, dampers, and sway bars. Additionally, it includes a revised bodykit, less restrictive exhaust mufflers, steering rack stiffeners, Bridgestone RE070 tires, and a host of unique interior parts, including suede-like surfaces, carbon fiber accents and yellow stitching.

Like other AP2-generation S2000s, the CR has a 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder with 237 hp (240 PS). The car for sale has just 3985 miles (6413 km) under its belt and a ‘Buy it now’ price of $79,995.

As for the NSX in question, it is a 1995 model and shows 18,900 miles (30,416) on the odo. The car is painted red, appears to be in excellent visual and mechanical condition and is powered by a 3.0-liter naturally-aspirated V6 that’s widely considered one of the best ever created by the Japanese marque.

It is actually a little cheaper than the S2000 CR, with a ‘Buy it now’ price of $74,999. So, which one would you go for?
