Youth Opinion
Nupur Kadam, Working Professional
Candidate must be aware of the reforms which the society needs and should have courage to implement them. Candidate should not make false promises, instead they should be practical and clear about their motives. Youth wants that their candidate should be knowledgeable, compassionate, competent and inspiring. They should work for welfare of masses and should not focus on pleasing the few influential people of society. To know what the people want and need, one must be connected to them. Regular rallies, door to door visits and public hearings should be attended by the candidates. This will help them in understanding the problems of a common man.

The senior batches organised group studies for the junior students and also educated them about their role in selecting candidates and importance of elections in a democracy. Discussions and debates were organised frequently in college where students were educated about the importance of voting. The students of various schools who come to enrol in the college were also motivated to make their voter ID cards after 18 years of age and to participate in the voting.
Students of fresh batches were also helped with filling of forms for making voter ID cards. Campus Ambassadors also gave details about the website for finding online voter ID forms to the college students. A drive was conducted on various social media platforms, where people were informed about their right to vote.
